Outdoor Fairy Garden Tour 2020

Tour of my backyard fairy garden village. I used some of my Dollar Tree items and added several new items from Michael’s and Big Lots as well as some Pretmanns fairies.  I hope this tour can give you some ideas and inspiration to start your own fairy garden.  Enjoy my fairy garden tour.

2019 Fairy Garden Tour

Touring the second year of my fairy garden.  This year due to construction at my home, I had a small strip to work with and couldn't plant any flowers until mid-summer.  I used several fairy houses that I bought from dollar tree and didn't make any fairy houses myself and only used one of the houses I made from last year.

Things got busy and couldn't keep up with maintaining it and everything got overgrown.  Next year I plan on moving the fairy garden village back to the area where I created it in the first year.  I hope this video helps you get inspiration and ideas to create your own fairy garden.

Dollar Tree Fairy Garden Set available

When I started creating my fairy garden last spring/summer, I had missed out on some cute fairy garden items at the Dollar Tree store.  This year, I was keeping my eye out for these items.  Although I think I am too late for items in the store (they are already putting out summer items), their online site has the 25 piece set available again this year.  I placed my order and I am looking forward to adding these to my collection!

2018 Fairy Garden Village Tour

I know I'm quite late on posting this, but better late than never.  I finally made my little fairy garden village in my backyard last summer.  It is made from a combination some painted birdhouses, a DIY house from a seltzer bottle covered with tree bark and pine cone, as well as some dollar tree and Michael's items.  I was very pleased with it.  All the birdhouses, fairies, and Michaels items held up very well to the weather.  I had sprayed them with some clear acrylic to protect them. The house I made from a seltzer bottle fell apart because I had used hot glue so it didn't stand up well to the heat and rain.  Might make a new one next year using waterproof Gorilla Glue or liquid nails per some recommendations.

DIY Mini Doll Table and Chairs

Meant to post this back in December but just never got around to it.  For Christmas I bought my niece a ton of Lalaloopsy Tinies to add to her collection of mini Lalaloopsies.  Since I couldn't find a small doll table in the stores I set out to create one myself.  I got this idea from a YouTube person who reviews toys.  She made a cute table set and so the creation started. Here is what the final version looked like:

Here is what I did to make this table set.  I bought some mini spools in two sizes and some wooden shapes.

I took some craft pain I had and painted the pieces in some bright Lalaloopsy like colors.

I wanted to add a little more whimsy to it so I added some details to the pieces.

I glued all the pieces together with E6000.  My niece really loved her new table to have her dolls sit for a tea party.
